Diablo 4: Why players don't accept 1.1Patch?
2023-07-20 02:19
Diablo 4's first season, "Season of the Villainous," launches tomorrow, but fans aren't exactly excited about its release.
Blizzard released the 6,600-word patch notes for 1.1, detailing the nerfs, buffs, and neutral changes for each class in Diablo 4. And most players... are not happy. Especially mage players.
On the surface, the ratio of buffs to nerfs to classes seems to be close to 10:1, which is a bit misleading. Barbarian Ancient Hammer, Necromancer Bone Spear, Druid Werewolf Shard, and Wizard Ice Shard.

While many of these classes have alternatives to take advantage of, and some have obvious buffs in specific directions, such as necromancer minions, this is least applicable to wizard players. They probably knew the ice shards would take a hit, but it didn't seem to make sense to step up the replacements and the class was already in trouble.
However, the truth may lie in the weakening of neutrality. In addition to the build nerfs and buffs players get, things like fragility, cooldown reduction, and crit damage have been nerfed. In fact, Blizzard made it clear that the player is too powerful and is pushing the enemy higher than themselves.
What it feels like in practice is that while many players feel like they're dealing less damage, I and other players have noticed that survivability is now much worse. Some aspects of the reduction are really noticeable, like the aspect of increased armor on hit, and there's still a bug where resistances do almost nothing, so even if the damage isn't completely gone, it feels deadlier than before.
Speaking from personal experience, I absolutely felt it all in Hot A Barbarian. My 6 to 8 million damage spike was offset by the "bug" fix and disappeared. I think the highest I've seen so far is 5 million from suppressed crits, but in general it's much lower than that. But generally much lower than that. My Rogue... hasn't changed much. Even the Twistblade Rogue isn't nerfed, but has to deal with the Vulnerability and Cooldown changes. Still, I don't take it as seriously as Savage.
Another nerf that players didn't like outside of Buildcraft was the increase in the cost of the Mystical Helltide Chest to 250 Cinders. Currently, cinder collections are falling off a cliff, down to around 30% of what they used to be, but Blizzard confirmed that this is indeed a bug that is being fixed. Players are still unhappy, Tides of Hell is basically useless until it's fixed.
In response to the overwhelmingly negative sentiment towards the patch, Blizzard is holding an emergency campfire chat this Friday. Director Joe Shelley said about a week ago that the nerf is coming, and it looks like there's more to it than people expected. I think it might be too early to fully judge everything, as we may be able to see which current builds have been nerfed. But despite all these buffs, no one can say for sure that other powerful builds haven't emerged to replace them. One day we will find out.

Although they have a tutorial page, I prefer communicating with customer service, and their response was quick, providing me with fast and effective assistance. I placed another order this week, and there were still no problems. M8X will be my first choice for purchasing FC 26 Coins.
