1. Speelbare speler Scouting

Idee: in plaats van te vertrouwen op scoutrapporten van scouts die meer met het spelerspotentieel te maken hebben dan welke vaardigheden ze nu hebben, zou het leuk zijn om de controle over een speler voor een trainingsgame over te nemen om te zien hoe ze de eerste hand spelen. Dat is logischer en het zou niet moeilijk zijn om voor EA uit te voeren.

Ze kunnen zelfs een kort filmpje toevoegen dat laat zien dat je manager de game bijwoont vanaf de tribune, of een bounce/reservespel bekijkt aan de zijkant van een trainingsveld om een idee te krijgen van zijn volgende handtekening. Dit gebeurt constant in echte footy, en het zou moeten gebeuren in Fut 20.

De kicker zou zijn dat je alleen de speler die je scout, en niet het hele team zou kunnen besturen, en zo'n controle zou alleen beschikbaar zijn in wedstrijden die er niet toe deden; geen controle krijgen over Man Utd en ze laten verliezen met 5-0 van Brighton, zodat je de competitie wint, grote cheat.

Het wordt tijd dat EA scouting minder over het toeval gaat doen en meer over geïnformeerde besluitvorming.

2. Clubdoelen die er feitelijk toe doen

'Board Expectations' klonk sexy toen het voor het eerst werd geïntroduceerd in de Carrière-modus-suite. De gedachte om zich te moeten houden aan strikte richtlijnen die door de geldmensen werden doorgegeven, voegde gewicht toe aan de modus en het had Career voor altijd moeten veranderen. Maar uiteindelijk deed het dat niet echt.

Negeer rode letters op woorden als 'Cruciaal', omdat ze van nul tot en-nvloed zijn op uw werk, tenzij u ze allemaal faalt.

Clubs die willen investeren in 'Jeugdontwikkeling' negeren hun eisen als je trofeeën levert. Dit is tot op zekere hoogte zinvol, maar het ondermijnt het doel om een dergelijk belang in de eerste plaats op vastgestelde doelen te stellen. Vertrouw ons, het is erg moeilijk om in Fut 19 te worden ontslagen, tenzij je dit opzettelijk probeert te doen.

Dit maakt doelen zinloos, en we zouden graag die verandering zien. Ze zouden daar voor een reden moeten zijn in plaats van pogingen om diepte toe te voegen zonder het daadwerkelijk toe te voegen. Er moet meer nadruk worden gelegd op wat het bord wil.
